Ebook to Images is a free program for converting e-books (and just texts) in various formats (.txt, .html, .htm, .lit, .pdf) into images adapted for reading on mobile devices. This utility will be useful for those who have a mobile phone, MP3 player or other “pocket device” on which you can view images (photos), but does not allow you to download and display text files.
Of course, reading from the shopify website design screen (even a very large one) of a mobile phone is not very convenient, but... there are moments in life... For example, during exams! Although I heard that recently before exams and tests there is a general search of students for the presence of various mobile devices.
Anyway, I find the Ebook to Images program quite interesting. At least it doesn't hurt to know that it exists.
How to work with Ebook to Images:
1. Download the Ebook to Images installer from the program’s home page , install and run it.
2. To open a file with text, click on the “Open eBook” button and use Windows Explorer to find the desired file. In the right part of the program window, you can see a preview of the “pages”.
3. Now we will use the options on the left side of the Ebook to Images window to optimize the image with text. What we have here:
— In the upper left corner there are settings for the size and format of the generated images:
In the drop-down list (zone #1), you can select standard parameters for a specific device model. It should be noted that the list of models is not impressive in its richness. In fact, there is only one model - MP3 player sansa e200 series. Therefore, if you do not have such a player, there is nothing left to do but install "Custom". In zones #2 and 3, you need to enter data on the device screen resolution and the format of the resulting images.
— In the lower left corner of the Ebook to Images window, you can configure the parameters of the image with text:
Next, I will simply list everything that can be done in each of the tabs. I think it will not be so difficult to understand the details:
The “Image” tab — invert colors (text and background), specify page numbers, expand image, anti-alias text, image as page background.
The “Font” tab – text font and size, background and text color.
“Text” tab – ignore text formatting, text alignment on the right or left side.
“Output” tab – number of pages in one folder.
4. After setting up the appearance of the pages, click the “Convert to Images” button. The text will be converted into images and saved in a folder on your desktop.
5. The only thing left to do is copy the folder (or individual folders from it) to your mobile device.
